I had such a swell time playing at Pete’s Candy Store tonight, where I haven’t played for years. Byron and Aaron can always be counted on for dapper dress. Byron’s the most melodic bass player this side of McCartney and Aaron Tasjan, a mere child, plays guitar with such locomotion and grace. His own music’s fantastic, too. He’s one of those people who I reckon to be like a thoroughbred horse…every double helix strand of DNA thusly optimized for life as a musician…the kid lives and breathes it and possesses an enviable sense of Certainty. The room was full of really warm people and afterwards I got to meet a longtime supporter from Scotland, Alan. I leave in a couple days for New Hampshire to start a lil East coast tour with Kathleen and the gang.
