Halloween night. After nine years in this neighborhood, I finally have a restaurant that I adore almost as much as Al Di La. The cooks at Palo Santo can do magical things with pigs and pumpkins and boar and such. It’s tucked back on a residential brownstone block. Amen.

Aaron Taschjan came by today to talk and drink Coke Classic and play guitar. We played through the three songs I wrote on the Wurly this week. Three songs I care about in five days a lot for me. They are ‘Burnin,” ‘Car,’ and ‘Australia’ – the lattermost being something of a subdued rock opera. Yesterday Byron was over to talk and drink homemade iced tea and play bass. I’m excited to record these songs soon. I can feel the album as a whole now, a-comin’ down the lane.
