I can’t believe I’m on the move again. I was supposed to be home in Brooklyn wearing an apron, playing hostess. But a winter storm wrecked the roads. Instead of my brother’s family coming to me, I’m on a train rolling towards them, weakly watching the slushy swamps and factories of northern New Jersey roll past. I can’t stop listening to Billy Joel’s song ‘Allentown.’
